JOB SUMMARY:


The Campus Ministry Sacristan works as part of a team of sacristans to plan, set-up, and clean-up all regular Masses and special liturgies at Seton Hall, both in the Main Chapel and in other locations across campus.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Opens and closes the Main Chapel each day.
  • Sets up and cleans up for all university Masses and liturgies, including weddings, baptisms, funerals, etc.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the university chapels and sacristies.
  • Assists the Director and Associate Director in planning and executing liturgies for major feast days.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Prior experience in sacristy or Catholic liturgical work.
  • Knowledge of Catholic liturgy and sacramental practice.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS:

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
