Job Title:

Research Assistant**
General Position Description:Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Research Assistant will work on a project funded by the National Institutes of Health to increase SARS-CoV-2 vaccinations among people who inject drugs (PWID) to try to determine why people do not vaccinate and how digital media can help increase vaccination rates.


This position is for 3 days per week (60% effort) at 7.5 hours per day.

Salary at 80% Effort:
$32,000 Bachelors, $36,000 with a master's, and $40,000 with a doctorate


Consideration will also be given to advanced studies and relevant work experience.

Responsibilities:


  • Enroll PWID in a clinical trial to evaluate different technologybased approaches to working with vaccine hesitant individuals.
  • Recruit and conduct indepth interviews people who inject drugs (PWID)
  • Develop or assist in the development of interview schedules.
  • Attend project meetings.
  • Assist with the preparation of articles, reports, and presentations.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Education/Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral science, Psychology, Sociology or equivalent field required, Master's or Ph.
D. preferred.

  • Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research.
  • Prior work with populations that experience health disparities, a must.
  • Individuals with lived experience are especially encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving and communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Spanish language skills desirable.
  • Highly organized and systematic, with attention to detail
  • Able to work independently with an aptitude for multitasking and managing multiple projects.
  • Collaborative work style with eagerness to continually learn and grow.
