The Utilities Maintenance Manager is directly responsible for improving the total uptime performance of the site's Utilities assets by managing the preventative/predictive maintenance programs, stationary engineers, maintenance planners, and third-party resources.

Proactively optimize cost-effective maintenance & reliability in support of L6S and business deliverables, as well as providing technical training opportunities for all associates to increase skill and knowledge.


Essential Responsibilities:

Supports the plant teams in reviewing/developing operating standards, and work processes.

Manage Boilers, Ammonia Systems, Compressed Air, HVAC, and Wastewater Treatment.

Proactively evaluates & leads refinement of overall equipment reliability plans, strategies, equipment performance & RCA effectiveness.


Manages overall utilities maintenance to ensure the most effective use of resources & funding balanced for both short & long-range plans.

Manages area budget.


Coordinate equipment and building facility maintenance activities at the plant, including capital projects with the support of corporate engineering to maximize equipment reliability, efficiency, and cost.


Ensure that all maintenance activities are executed with adherence to/implementation of people safety and risk management regulations and procedures, according to the company policies and OSHA recommendations.

Purchase, expedite, and install equipment with or without outside contractors.

Responsible for ensuring products are produced following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Is responsible for ensuring that all applicable safety and GMP procedures are understood and adhered to.

Is responsible for ensuring that all food safety and quality issues are brought to the immediate attention of the Quality Manager

Coaches, mentors & develops staff.


Requirements:

Engineering Bachelor's degree or similar.

Five years of experience in a similar position; technical experience in maintenance is required.

Previous experience with Proactive Maintenance and other Integrated Lean Six Sigma pillars is an asset.

Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is a plus.

Demonstrated hands-on leadership and coaching abilities - able to demonstrate several examples of empowering, developing & motivating people.

Effective problem-resolution skills combined with "big picture" awareness.


Pay:
$95, $120,449.00 per year
