What's possible?

This challenging role will see you split your time between daily operational oversight and driving strategic visions.

Working closely with the Global Logistics Category Lead, you'll be responsible for negotiating sea and air freight rates with carriers and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and shipment flow improvement.

We'll also rely on you to deliver excellent customer service while acting as an interface with Nufarm regional functions and external logistics service providers.

Providing support to pricing inquiries, overseeing import and export operations across regions, creating and maintaining detailed financial reporting and maintaining an effective training program - all are aspects of this multi-faceted role.

Key responsibilities will include:

Developing and executing international logistics strategies, including visons for people, processes and technology

Focusing on driving operation efficiency and cost-effectiveness to support departmental efficiencies and enable company growth

Providing leadership and solution-oriented problem solving on strategic projects and Identifying opportunities for cost reduction and shipment flow improvement

Developing standard operating procedures and scheduling/shipping practices for efficiently carrying out logistics activities

What you'll need to bring

We'll expect you to have a bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain or Operations, good knowledge of international shipping, lots of initiative and a detail-oriented and highly organised approach.

You'll also need:

Excellent negotiation skills regarding rates and service with logistics service providers

Proven experience of managing logistics service providers

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and the ability to build strong business partnerships

The ability to work independently and demonstrate thought leadership and excellent problem-solving abilities
