Description
Cook Children's Health Care System is growing its Heart Center Team and seeks to add an additional adult congenital cardiologist to assist with treating ACHD patients, as well as pediatric patients with heart disease, rotating through inpatient service and providing call coverage for the group.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a 15-person cardiology group consisting of one adult congenital cardiologist, 2 invasive pediatric cardiologists, 2 electrophysiologists, and 10 noninvasive cardiologists with expertise in MRI, fetal echocardiography, and outpatient evaluation of patients with pediatric heart disease.
The program is chaired by Deborah Schutte, MD.Cook Children's has an integrated heart center consisting of two cardiac catheterization labs, two cardiovascular operating rooms and echo labs with full digital capabilities, as well as a dedicated CICU.
Cook Children's Medical Center is a 443-bed hospital. The Heart Center performs approximately 450 open heart surgeries and 500 caths per year. We conduct 12,500 outpatient visits and perform 15,000 echos annually. Additionally, we have performed 130 cardiac MRIs last year with that number continuing to grow annually. Our Heart Center 3D Lab provides in-house printing and virtual planning of complex congenital heart disease.Cook Children's Health Care System is one of the country's leading free standing integrated pediatric health care systems.
