Description
Position Summary:
The Cook Children's Heart Center, (located in Fort Worth, Texas), seeks to hire a pediatric transplant cardiologist. The candidate would join a multidisciplinary team of 15 cardiologists and 3 NPs.
Our cardiologists work closely with members of our Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit, which consists of 6 dedicated cardiac intensivists, as well as the Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery team consisting of 3 cardiothoracic surgeons and 2 NPs.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates must be BC/BE in Pediatric Cardiology and able to obtain an unrestricted Texas Medical License and have 3-5 years of experience as a transplant cardiologist.
Cook Children's Medical Center is a 445-bed hospital.The Heart Center performs approximately 450 open heart surgeries and 500 caths per year (include diagnostic, interventional and EP here).
We conduct 12,500 outpatient visits and perform 15,000 echos annually. Additionally, we have performed 130 cardiac MRIs last year with that number continuing to grow annually.Our Heart Center 3D Lab provides in-house printing and virtual planning of complex congenital heart disease and would provide an opportunity for involvement.
