The Janitorial Lead will supervise the Janitorial department and ensure tasks and goals are met.

As the Janitorial Lead you will coach all employees on how to follow the correct safety protocols and procedures in regards to PPE, cleaning, and sanitation.

The Janitorial Lead will assist with cleaning AFW breakrooms, restrooms, or any other location as asked by the AFW management team.

This individual will also coach, teach, and train employees to preform above company expectations, and assist with chemical inventory, ordering, and distribution.

The Janitorial Lead will work with and coordinate with multiple departments and managers to ensure expectations are met and.
Job Requirements

  • Coordinate and work effectively with multiple departments to continuously improve processes, maximize efficiency and exceed customer service expectations.
  • Able to have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends.
  • Knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Knowledge of blood borne pathogens (BBP) and the ability to safely clean blood borne pathogens (BBP).
  • Commitment to AFW's safety policies and procedures and ability to promote awareness.

Qualifications

  • Appraises employee performance, communicates goals and expectations, provide honest feedback and coaches team members.
  • Provides continual training to team members with an emphasis on safety and service.
  • Coach employees on how to perform the correct cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Communicates, leads, and develops teamwork with the Janitorial Department.
  • Assist with chemical inventory and ordering.
  • Ensure the correct paperwork/forms are filled out correctly.
  • Able to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Able to clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
  • Gather and empty trash.
  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other company approved cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
  • Able to dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
  • Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
  • Communicate with the management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Ability to remove snow (Colorado Stores) from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals.

Physical Requirements

  • Long periods of and standing and walking.
  • Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas
  • Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
  • Bending, griping, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items
  • Requires the ability to move around the store and maneuver merchandise/equipment when necessary, must be able to stand/walk regularly.
  • Requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (850 pounds)

  • Pay Grade B: $16.00$29.71
