To complement our team at Lampe & Schwartze Marine Underwriting, we are looking for you as a
Claims Adjuster for Marine Cargo and Transport Insurance.

Your new role

As the first point of contact for claims, you will be responsible for our existing clients in the transport, logistics, and port industries.
You will assess claims in the areas of transport and marine cargo insurance, clarify facts, and negotiate with involved parties while considering individual agreements and guidelines.
You will be responsible for booking claims.
You will communicate with clients, brokers, insurers, assessors, and lawyers via email or phone, in German and English.
You will document your actions in our digital filing systems.
You will work closely with your colleagues and team leader.

What sets you apart

You have completed a commercial or legal apprenticeship in the fields of insurance, freight forwarding, logistics, industry, banking, wholesale, or a business or legal bachelor's degree.
You have an interest in international trade flows, the freight forwarding industry, and interacting with our globally located clients, insurers, claimants, and service providers.
Ideally, you have previous work experience in the insurance industry or in claims handling.
You have very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
