About the role:
CLA is looking to hire a Private Investment Operations Associate in Madison, WI.

Summary


This role is responsible for the coordination of activity with fund companies, fund administrators and internal stakeholders ensuring the day-to-day operation of private investments goes smoothly.

They are also responsible for supporting operating needs of licensed brokers and advisors (Principals, Senior Wealth Advisors & Wealth Advisors), including providing quality services for prospective and existing clients with respect to a wide variety of questions related to private investment funds.

Essential Job Functions

  • Operations: Work with the Director of Operations to support all operational needs of wealth advisors with respect to the private investment platform.
  • Coordinate private investment account activity between vendors and clients.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or errors that arise during automated processes.
  • Examine documents to ensure completeness and identify critical information and issues.
  • Client Support: Provide high quality service to prospective/existing clients and coworkers through timely, courteous, respectful, and helpful communication.
  • Work with Director of Operations on special brokerage and investment advisory projects. Act as liaison between CLA and custodians, investment management firms, and other issuers and vendors.

Requirements:

Experience

  • Related experience is preferred.
Education

  • Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Technical Competencies

  • Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Office products.
  • Portfolio management and CRM software experience preferred.
  • Coding / programming experience to automate processes preferred.
Travel Requirements

This position requires <10% travel.
