Combined Metals is seeking a IT-Business Analyst - ERP specialist. This role requires close partnership with users across multiple locations. Will collaborate with team members to understand organizational and operational challenges. Must be able to manage the execution of key IT technology initiatives to project completion. Communicate timely status, including any potential risks/issues of the assignments to management. This position reports to the IT Director.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:


  • Help drive an ERP conversion to Invex
  • Provide support across the ERP user community to answer questions and solve problems in areas such as sales, finance, and operations.
  • Meet and coordinate with business process owners to develop solutions to business problems the functional teams are facing.
  • Seek out Continuous Improvement opportunities and participate in Kaizen events to identify appropriate IT recommendations and solutions to issues identified in the event.
  • Work with developers to define change requests for added utilization of expanded system functionality.
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies to align with strategic business needs.
  • Create and maintain documentation of business processes.
  • Provide advice and technical training to users.
  • Establishes and maintains contact with third party support for problem and issue resolution.

Required Skills:


  • Has a good understanding manufacturing systems
  • Experience with one or more ERP systems
  • Comfortable with multiple location ERP implementations
  • Skilled in analytical techniques, practices, and problemsolving
  • Familiar with Shop Floor software and data collections
  • Document project meetings and compile meeting minutes and project deliverables
  • Understands ERP bestpractices, business processes and operational procedures
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in working with vendors, peers, business stakeholders, and management
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, at all levels, including customers
  • Capable of learning new systems and creating/implementing new system functionality
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, hardware/software lifecycles, ERP solutions, ERP development environments/tools
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) management best practices

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience with a Bachelor's Degree
