    **Job Description**

    **AECOM** is seeking a creative and highly talented **Project Controls Analyst** for immediate employment based in our **San Diego** or **Orange, California** offices. This is an entry-level position.

    _This position is expected to begin in June 2024._

    The **Project Controls Analyst** will support our Environment Business Line. The position requires strong interpersonal communication skills with a **hospitality mindset** , as this role requires **hotel-concierge-level customer-oriented support services** . Responsibilities may include but not be limited to:

    _Assisting the Project Manager and Senior Project Controller in:_

    + Maintaining the AECOM project financial system (uploading change orders, opening and closing projects, and compiling monthly EAC).

    + Assisting in the development of project WBS.

    + Setting up and administering project cost control, including monitoring, collecting, and analyzing actual costs, commitments, and accruals.

    + Identify cost trends and report analysis to project management and clients and maintain project key performance indicators.

    + Develop reports to clients, including but not limited to progress and financial reports.

    + Developing and maintaining project variance and earned value reporting and highlighting exceptions to the project manager.

    + Evaluate task progress against project schedule and budget. Evaluate project performance and identify areas of concern.

    + Compiling monthly invoices and following up with client AP for approval and payment.

    + Assisting the Project Manager with developing Estimates to Complete costs and revenues.

    + Assist in the identification of change conditions and the development of Change Order request documents and estimates.

    + Manage subcontractors involvement in the projects. Coordinate contracts, budgets, commitments, expenditures, invoices, and performance.

    + Performing ad-hoc analysis as required by the Project Manager.

    + Develop and maintain project schedules.

    + General project coordination, logistics, and administration.

    **Qualifications**

    **Minimum Requirements:**

    + Bachelors Degree.

    + Valid U.S. Drivers License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.

    + As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.

    **Preferred Qualifications**

    + Completion of Project Management-related courses.

    + Basic knowledge of project management processes.

    + Basic knowledge of finance and accounting.

    + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with a good understanding of Excel functions.

    + Hospitality mindset (customer service experience is a plus).

    + Active listener.

    + Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).

    + Reliable team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.

    + Strong critical thinking skills.

    + Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

    + Strong problem solver.

    + Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and meet strict deadlines.

    **Additional Information**

    + Relocation assistance and/or per diem is not available for this position.

    + Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

    + Candidate will submit to medical surveillance screening upon hire.

    Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $65, $70,
