Maintenance Supervisor

Job description-


Work with maintenance group as a technical resource for the improvement of electrical and mechanical equipment and systems in the plan.

Responsible for the direction and coordination of all maintenance repair activities in the plant. Complete engineering, procurement, installation, and startup of assigned capital projects.

Apollo Metals, a subsidiary of Tata Steel, is searching for a Maintenance Supervisor for our plant located in Bethlehem PA.

Responsibilities:


Safety:

-
Ensure that all salary, hourly and outside service employees are compliant with Plant Safety Rules and Regulations.
-
Ensure that all employees are properly trained in the areas of Safety, Quality, unit SOP's.
-
Safety: Develop/revise Safe Work Procedures (SWP's) & Risk Assessments; review/revise Unit Risk Assessments annually. Conduct STOP audits and ensure 100% hourly employee coverage each month. Participate in all area accident investigations to establish root causes and develop corrective actions following them to completion.

Maintenance & Engineering:

-
Schedule and coordinate maintenance personnel assignments supporting operational requirements.

Work with maintenance employees on prioritizing repair jobs and making sure the required materials and parts are available to complete work
-
Actively work with maintenance personnel as a technical resource to develop corrective action plans on reducing equipment delays, improving quality, and productivity.

Assist in developing and implementing a preventative maintenance program for the plant.

Provide technical direction as need to complete assigned work
-
Responsible for ensuring that all spare parts are available for the plant.

Track and maintain records of delays in the departments.
-
Write work procedures, work orders, preventative maintenance procedures are required to complete necessary repairs and reduce delays.

Plant Engineer:

-
Oversee and plan capital projects.
-
Prepare as required technical specifications or designs for capital projects.
-
Work with outside engineering groups and contractors as required for the completion of major repairs and or installation of new capital equipment.
-
Provide assistance during startups on new installation of capital equipment, equipment outages, or as required minimizing start up and delaying time.

Direct hourly personnel as required to accomplish tasks at hand,

Qualifications:

5-7 Years Supervisory experience in a Union environment.

Effective communication skills (Oral & Written).

Good Interpersonal & Communication Skills

Strong Organizational Skills

PC Knowledgeable (Microsoft Office)
