Job Summary:


The Medical Staff Manager effectively oversees the initial appointments, reappointments, and provisional reviews (proctoring) for physicians and mid-level professionals (allied health professionals).

Effectively prepares agendas, accurately records attendance attends Medical Staff meetings as assigned, take and transcribe minutes and provides guidance, resources and support to the Medical Staff Officers and assists with the resolution of actions taken.


  • Prepares, organizes and followups as necessary to assure maintenance of hospital accreditation and licensure for reappointments, verify primary source, National Practitioner Data Bank, Federation of Staff Medical Boards, American Boards of Medical Specialties, OIG Sanctions, Certificates and Medical Board of California Licensure.
  • Prepares and distributes the oncall schedules timely.
  • Deposits various fees into the Medical Staff account in a timely fashion as needed.
  • Prepares a monthly Medical Staff account report for the Medical Executive Committee.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of TJC standards for the organized Medical Staff.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of four years' experience as a Medical Staff Coordinator in an acute care hospital Medical Staff office, preferred.
  • Able to make decisions and work independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets and database maintenance.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • National Association of Medical Staff Service (NAMSS) certification as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or as a Certified Professional in Medical Staff Management (CPMSM) preferred.
  • Experience with MD Staff Application preferred.

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CHLB/Glendora Hospital roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices, etc. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that CHLB/Glendora Hospital in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting._


Pay:
$73, $92,352.00 per year
