Andros Taverna, located in the heart of Logan Square, is seeking a Service Manager to join our teamPOSITION OVERVIEW:
The Service Manager is responsible for leading and managing the restaurant.
This position serves as a leader, educator, coach, and mentor to the front-of-house staff and maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable laws, policies, and procedures of the Andros Taverna brand.
They will work to continuously build a high-performance team and ensure guest satisfaction is top priority.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Lead guest service on the floor.
- Open and close store as scheduled.
- Responsible for daily Preshifts and Floor plan.
- Facilities walk through, communicate to handyman of issues that needs to be fixed.
- Review Log and contribute notes daily.
- Responsible for helping to achieve targeted sales goals.
- Collect, review and report guest feedback.
- Ensure that employees comply with health and food safety standards
- Address complaints regarding food quality or service
- Schedule staff hours and assign duties
- Manage budgets and payroll records including daily tips
- Establish standards for personnel performance and customer service
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, the Service Manager must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. - Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant's operating area.
- A minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbal and written.
- Must possess a genuine love of people and hospitality
- Must be a solutionsoriented leader who loves to train and motivate a team
- Experience with Resy and Toast a plus
- Must have extensive food and wine knowledge
- Must have extensive knowledge of beer and spirits
- Be able to work in a standing position a minimum of 8 hours a day.
- Be able to reach, bend and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have the stamina to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent work experience
Bachelor or Associate degree preferred
