We are seeking a _
highly motivated Assistant Project Manager _to join our dynamic team, who will handle these vital tasks for our
Senior Project Manager
- Assist the Project Manager in completing submittals, change orders, RFI's and closeout documents.
- Responsible for assisting the project manager in planning and overseeing electrical construction projects to ensure they are completed safely, on time and within budget.
- Assist in all aspects of an electrical construction project to ensure a safe and profitable outcome.
- Collaborate with all project stakeholders as needed, utilizing various methods of communication.
- Review plans and construction documents with the Project Manager to determine and define project scope and objectives
- Assist in procuring resources needed to reach objectives
- Help prepare a budget based on preconstruction estimates and best practices
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
- Track all project costs in order to meet the budget.
- Provide consistent project updates to various management about strategy, adjustments and progress.
- Coordinate subcontractors and vendors by assigning scopes and communicating expected deliverables.
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project execution.
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:_
Associate degree or related experience
One Year of Project Management
Proven ability to problem solve, great analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to correspond with general contractors, owners and colleagues professionally.
Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Windows Office knowledge required.
Some experience in electrical or construction helpful
