Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatrics Float Pool position, requiring an active OK or compact RN license and strong pediatric care skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a hospital Pediatrics Float Pool environment
• Care is provided to a variety of pediatric patients with a range of health needs
• Day shifts with weekend and holiday requirements
• 12-hour shifts, three days per week
• Floating among pediatric units as assigned
• RN will assume responsibility for an assigned group of pediatric patients
• Duties include documenting patient responses, assisting with examinations and minor procedures, administering prescribed medications, and monitoring physiological data
• Collaborates with family members to communicate care plans and discharge instructions
• Delegates appropriate tasks to support staff as needed
• Holiday and weekend coverage is expected

Requirements

• Active RN license in Oklahoma or a compact state (eNLC)
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
• Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience
• Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Good communication, organizational, and computer skills
• Ability to respond to diverse cultural and language needs of pediatric patients and their families
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
