Job Summary:

Reporting to the managing attorney and working closely with L. Echevarria Law Office staff, the Paralegal plays an integral role in supporting daily real estate and corporate operations.

You will be responsible for assisting with the preparation, organization, and management of various legal documents and processes related to real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Your expertise will contribute to the smooth execution of real estate deals and the protection of clients' interests.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Transaction Coordination:

Facilitate the coordination and organization of real estate transactions in Spanish and English, including the preparation of closing checklists, scheduling closings and remote transactions, and communicating with clients, lenders, real estate agents, and other involved parties.

File and Database Management:

Maintain and organize physical and electronic files, databases, and records related to real estate transactions. Ensure proper documentation and efficient retrieval of information when needed.

Clearing Title Assistance:

Assist clearing title by requesting payoffs or getting letters of indemnification or satisfaction documents from prior settlements companies.

Settlement:


Ensure the lender's package, seller and buyer documents and checks are printed and ready on the day of settlement along with a note for the attorney with important highlights of the file.

Attend closing with the attorney and ensure all documents are properly signed, dated, and notarized. Scan each document and save in the proper electronic file.

Title and Due Diligence:

Conduct comprehensive title searches, review title commitments, surveys, and other due diligence materials. Identify potential issues or discrepancies and collaborate with attorneys and title companies to resolve them.

Research and Analysis:

Conduct legal research on real estate matters, including property laws, zoning regulations, and local ordinances. Provide attorneys with relevant information and analysis to support case strategies and client advisement.

Post-Closing Specialist:

Ensure seamless transactions by issuing or amending title policies according to legal standards.

Craft tailored post-closing packages for buyers and serve as the key liaison for lenders, facilitating requests for executed documents and clarifications on recorded documents or policies.

Court Filings and Recording:

Prepare and file legal documents with appropriate courts, government agencies, and county recorders. Ensure timely and accurate submissions to meet deadlines and comply with procedural requirements.
