Accounting Manager

Location:
Worcester, MA
Opportunity to work with a reputable company

Hours:

Part-time position (hours per week)
Monday – Friday onsite

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or relevant certification preferred.
Demonstrated experience (5 years) in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity focusing on manufacturing and inventory valuation.
Expertise in cost accounting, tax management, SAP utilization, and inventory valuation in a manufacturing environment.
Skilled in utilizing accounting software, MS Excel, and SAP.
Provide effective support to internal stakeholders

Job Duties:

Supervise the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, which includes income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Utilize the existing ERP system (SAP) for streamlined financial data management and reporting to maximize its functionalities for necessary financial processes such as product costing, inventory management, and financial reporting.
Implement and oversee cost accounting systems tailored to manufacturing operations.
Regularly review and analyze costs to spot opportunities for cost reductions and strengthen the organization's market position.
Ensure precise inventory valuation, considering different costing methods (FIFO, LIFO, weighted average) and adhering to accounting regulations.
Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce carrying costs.
Identify areas for enhancing processes in cost accounting, inventory valuation, and financial reporting, particularly within manufacturing.

Pay Rate:

$50 per hour
