Job Summary:


The Excalibur 1b Production Program has an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Production Execution Senior Program Manager.

You will be responsible for production for the US Army and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers.


You will be responsible for the tactical execution of all facets of Production in support of a large multi-year Excalibur 1b contract.

This position offers a unique opportunity and provides unparalleled experience leading a legacy Raytheon program that is being actively used in combat.

This role requires proficiency in leading dynamic production problem solving, cross functional teams, and managing challenging supplier relationships.

You will be communicating program goals, objectives, decisions, and results to both internal and external leadership and will report to the Excalibur 1b Program Associate Director.

You will be a critical member of the Excalibur 1b Leadership Team.

There will be a high level of senior leadership visibility in this role due to the significant size of the contract.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:


  • In the absence of the program manager, is responsible for meeting contractual commitments including financial, technical, and schedule performance of assigned program(s) within contractual boundaries and company expectations
  • Support and drive AOP objectives and action plans
  • Develop programenhancing partnerships with internal crossfunctional organizations including but not limited to Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, Quality Management, Logistics, Data Management (CDRL support), and administrative functions
  • Lead the program risk and opportunity process, in accordance with specific financial goals and obligations
  • Execute daily program management and cadence such as risk review boards, customer reviews, failure review boards, program management reviews (PMRs), staffing reviews, and decision reviews to achieve contract / financial commitments
  • Lead production proposal activities
  • Prepare, revise, update, and monitor required documentation and analysis in compliance with contract requirements and Raytheon's Integrated Product Development System (IPDS), such as gate reviews and the GEM tool, and both corporate
- and business-level policies and procedures

  • Identify and implement key program assessments and metrics to lead development of situational awareness charts and performance assessments that enable program success drivers by program leadership teams
  • Inspire individual and team accountability by aligning program recognition & rewards and performance evaluations with program goals and expectations
  • Ability to travel (International and Domestic) as needed

Basic Qualifications:


  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and minimum 7 years of experience is required
  • Experience supporting development, capture, production, and/or sustainment programs in the aerospace and defense industry
  • Experience with financial analysis tools and project management tools and/or systems
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience leading the quarterly EAC process and assessing/managing risks and opportunities
  • Experience balancing technical, cost, and schedule on a program
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Program Management Level 5 certified
  • Experience developing and reviewing cost proposals and synthesizing Gate 4 and Gate 5 (IPDS) packages for management review and approval
  • Track record in successfully leading IR&D, NBI and/or customer funded programs/projects
  • Prior experience managing suppliers to include interfacing with supplier SLT
  • Working knowledge of AOP, LRP and production MRP systems
  • Familiarity with US Army customers including PMCAS and DEVCOM
  • Prior experience supporting capture, development, production, and/or sustainment programs, preferably in
