We are looking for dynamic individuals that have lived experiences being a caregiver for a youth that has experienced behavioral or mental health struggles.

Our Family Peer Supporter will be providing services to clients in their homes and community. You will work with a team of professionals providing an innovative service in Illinois.

The Family Peer Supporter (FPS) will help build skills for families that are navigating the mental health system as a parent/caregiver.

The FPS will use their lived experience to help families access resources, learn new ways to advocate for themselves and their families, and provide support.

You will work closely with the family and their Child and Family Team to ensure the parent/caregiver is empowered throughout the treatment process

The Family Peer Supporter will work under the supervision of a licensed Clinician. You will support and empower the family throughout their journey with us


Qualifications:


  • Parent/caregiving experience for a youth that has had involvement with various agencies and institutions: DCFS, Juvenile Justice, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, residential treatment/group homes etc.
  • Minimum one year of experience working with children, youth and families.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable and consistent access to a vehicle
