    Description

    I'm representing my client, an esteemed defense litigation firm, currently seeking a full-time litigation paralegal for its Tampa location.

    The ideal candidate will have solid defense experience, with a preference for those experienced in medical malpractice. As a Medical Malpractice Paralegal, you will primarily focus on Pre-Suit procedures. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from 80-85K a year with 2 yearly bonuses totaling around $10-12K a year. Their location is Tampa FL

    Experience Required:

    • 5-7+ years of experience in Medical Malpractice on the defense side
    • Experience with pre-suit procedures (defense side).
    • Familiarity with working with medical experts; experience in nursing is a plus.
    • Strong background in insurance defense will also be considered.

    Responsibilities:

    • Draft correspondence and pleadings
    • Prepare discovery and responses.
    • Communicate with clients
    • Review medical records and prepare medical chronologies
    • Prepare non-party record subpoenas in compliance with state and federal regulations
    • E-file in state and federal courts
    • Locate and collaborate with expert witnesses
    • Prepare cases for witness interviews, depositions, mediations, and trial.
