    Description


    POSITION SUMMARY Under the direction of the Director of Radiology, Medical Director and Cardiologists, responsible for care and safety of patients undergoing cardiac ultrasound procedures; use and knowledge of ultrasound equipment to perform professional quality cardiac produce diagnostic ultrasound images of the abdomen, pelvis, fetus, thyroid, breast, extremities, and other procedures including stress echoes and transesophageal ultrasound studies for diagnosis of disorders and diseases.

    Assists the Director by addressing day-to-day operational issues to support the needs identified by the Department, in accordance with established policies/procedures/protocols.

    Responsible for daily payroll information for Ultrasound Department technologists.

    QUALIFICATION EDUCATION:

    Graduate of an A.M.A. approved allied health program. Successful completion of Registry of Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers. Successful completion of Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. If registry eligible, must become registered within one year of hire. Education in multiple specialties preferred.


    EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS:
    One year of clinical experience in cardiac ultrasound, abdominal, ob-gyn, small parts and/or vascular imaging required. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S): RDCS RDMS RVT Certified in Abdominal and OB preferred Certification in multiple specialties preferred. Certified in CPR##
