    Description


    POSITION SUMMARY Under the direction of the Director of Radiology and Medical Director, the Ultrasound Technologist - Medical is responsible for care and safety of patients undergoing ultrasound procedures; use and knowledge of ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic ultrasound images of the abdomen, pelvis, fetus, thyroid, breast, extremities, and other procedures for diagnosis of disorders and diseases.

    QUALIFICATION


    EDUCATION:

    Medical:
    Graduate of an A.M.A. approved allied health program. Successful completion of Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. If registry eligible, must become registered within one year of hire.


    EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS:

    Medical:
    One year of clinical experience in abdominal, ob-gyn, small parts and/or vascular imaging required


    Cardiac:
    #One year clinical experience in cardiac ultrasound.

    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S):

    Medical:
    # RDMS Certified in Abdominal and OB preferred Certification in multiple specialties is preferred. Certified in CPR
