Responsibilities:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) – GU/GI Oncology plays a crucial role in applying the nursing process, overseeing clinical practice, participating in research, offering consultative services, serving as a liaison within and between departments, providing education, leadership, and managing patient care from prevention to post-discharge. This role requires independent decision-making while collaborating with physicians to deliver expert care.
Qualifications
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of one (1) year experience as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner (preferred).
At least three (3) years of nursing experience, with a preference for Oncology experience, particularly in GU/GI Oncology.
Educational/Licensure/Certifications Requirements:
Holds a Master of Nursing Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
Current State of California Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner License.
Possesses National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner, as well as current DEA license and Furnishing Number.
Maintains current ACLS certification.
