- Establishes and streamline a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize/mitigate risk.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Manage the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management on a monthly basis.
- Works with and coordinates activities with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
- Files quarterly and annual tax returns with Federal, State & Local tax agencies.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process.
- Responsible for the company general ledger.
- Oversee US payroll including bonus and commission calculations.
- Oversee the operations of the accounting department, which includes accounts payable and accounts receivable individuals.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Minimum 7+ years of related experience
- Experience with Government Contracting accounting
- Excellent management and supervisory skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- High energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
- Experience with the accounting platforms Unanet and Quickbooks
- Experience reporting to a Board of Directors
