Position
We are hiring a full-time Administrative Assistant to support a busy outpatient physical therapy clinic focused on getting people back to their lives We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented, and customer-service oriented individual to perform these duties while helping craft the ultimate patient experience.
- Two years medical office administrative experience. Rehab experience a plus.
- Two years experience using an EMR medical software and patient scheduling system required
- Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office, including accurate typing and data entry skills.
- Knowledge of medical insurance authorizations and verifications preferred
- Ability to interact with physician office staff, insurance providers, teammates, and patients
- Excellent work habits with close attention to deadlines and detailoriented assignments.
- Work independently with provided instructions
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Responsibilities
- Answer phones and be the perfect first interaction with our clinic
- Schedule patient appointments
- Collect payment and coordinate with billing department
- Obtain insurance authorizations
- Perform office supply inventory
- Perform patient registration
- Assist with completion and transmission of all daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting as needed
Education/Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some college preferred
- Medical insurance knowledge is preferred
