Position Summary
You are required to behave in an appropriate manner while representing BuffWater in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities
- You are required to operate within the BuffWater's QHSE, human resources, and standard operating procedures
- Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance guidelines
- Customer policies and procedures
- Adhere to all BuffWater's policies, procedures and guidelines, report all hazards, near misses and events to your supervisor / manager immediately.
- Comply with the requirements of BuffWater's QHSE Management System.
- Maintain a high standard of work quality through accuracy and efficiency when completing tasks
- Ensure that all company property is used in accordance with the correct procedures.
- Display a positive attitude towards the company, clients, and coworkers
- Ensure that cooperation and respect is always demonstrated to customers, vendors, and work colleagues
- Ability to accept responsibility and make decisions
- Ensure that tasks are completed on time through efficient organization and planning
Position Responsibilities
- Coordinate new employee onboarding and orientation programs, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HRrelated matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate employee records, including personnel files, HRIS data, and compliance documentation.
- Conduct HRrelated training sessions for employees and managers as needed.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of HRrelated reports and analytics to management.
- Stay uptodate with changes in employment laws and regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives to support organizational goals and objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in an HR generalist role, with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and EEOC guidelines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Desired Qualifications
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
- Previous experience working with a logistics or distribution company
Pay:
$55, $70,000.00 per year
