ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job.

Strategy

  • Develop social strategy and content calendars for all social channels (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)
  • Develop platform growth strategy with the goal of increasing followers and fan engagement including brand collaborations and giveaways
  • Implement innovative marketing strategies that connect with different target markets across social media
  • Work closely with product and marketing coordinators to create content and excitement thatsupports product launches and sales
  • Create a strategy for contesting and user generated content
Content

  • Create, and delivery authentic and engaging content that excites and entertains fans
  • Work closely with creative team on builtforsocial content and style guide that incorporates animation, graphic design, product photography, and video
  • Attend editorial shoots to capture BTS to optimize for social
  • Organize assets and footage for cross departmental use
  • Shoot live and edit content that can be cut and used across multiple platforms
Social

  • Develop relationships with key media, bloggers and social influencers to best tell the story of Upper Deck brand products and initiatives
Management

  • Oversee, lead and develop team of Community Coordinators
  • Develop relationships and strategies with league partners and licensors to share updates and information through relevant social media channels
Analytics

  • Implement tracking tools to gather detailed analytics with the goal of optimizing social media performance through best practices on content, posttiming, amplification, and influencer marketing
  • Track and report social performance and provide ongoing analyses
Community Engagement

  • Coordinate with customer care team on issues that arise in DMs and comments

INTERACTION

This position will interact closely with the Director of Marketing, Marketing Managers, Community Coordinators and Product Managers, along with other related staff members and key external parties.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Social & Content Marketing Manager will oversee the team of Community Coordinators and a Video Content Producer.

EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Social Media Marketing or related field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience overseeing social media strategy
  • Expert knowledge of current social media platforms and trends
  • Proven experience in copywriting, content planning and creation

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Expert knowledge in all relevant social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Discord, etc
  • A track record of growing large followings and engagement on social media, notably Instagram and TikTok
  • Excellent knowledge of Google Analytics and reporting on social initiatives.
  • Proven ability to create engaging and highquality social content including video
  • Knowledge of best practices using Reels, Stories, Live, etc
  • Indepth understanding of social media trends and pop culture
  • Creative eye for copy, video and design, and experience working with designers
  • Excellent planning, organization, and workflow management skills
  • Intelligent, organized and motivated selfstarter who can work independently
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, multitask and manage deadlines
  • Familiarity with licensed collectibles, trading cards and/or games a plus
  • Strong ability to lead and work within teams
  • Must be responsible, dependable and ethical
