¿¿¿¿Position Overview**SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, operated by Stanford University, is one of 17 Department of Energy (DOE) national laboratories.

Your specific responsibilities include:

Construct and assemble data for budgeting, forecasting, and decision making; develop conclusions, and present highlevel summary of recommendations.
Serve as a business decision resource partner on matters that require financial expertise.
Collaborate with principal investigator(s) in the preparation and financial reporting of proposals within parameters of sponsored and nonsponsored research guidelines.
Work under mínimal supervision to manage the proposal preparation and/or post award activities on grants, contracts, program projects, and federal grants, both routine and complex.
Review and approve expenditures, advise on post award spending and commitment activity, and oversee compliance related to fund and revenue.
Design and perform ad hoc analyses; develop and maintain complex data models, perform sensitivity analysis, analyze large complex data sets, and reconcile complex accounts.
Conduct analysis and resolution and recognize exceptions. Participate in developing solutions that may require policy changes or the development of new processes; maintain broader organizational perspective in decision making.
Execute internal control programs established by management, research new regulations, and recommend and implement approved changes.
Participate as a member of a project team; support new initiatives; cooperate and adapt to changes and processes.
Contribute and communicate to unit and organization strategy; assist in the development of change management plans, web content, and provide support for course delivery and materials update, as needed.
Develop and maintain desktop procedures and process documentation for area of responsibility.
Participate in critical analysis of existing systems and processes and identify opportunities for process improvement. Perform system testing and analyze results.

To be successful in this position you will bring:

Bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
Ability to prioritize competing deliverables.
Demonstrated knowledge of financial systems, internet, and computer literacy.
Keen attention to detail.
Knowledge of GAAP.
Strong communication skills, including ability to prepare materials for and clearly and effectively communicate information to internal and external audiences and client groups.
Demonstrated project management skills and ability to contribute to or lead part of a multifunctional team.
