    Description
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSchedule and perform maintenance on lift systems using diagnostic computers, gauges, instruments and may perform welding.

    May perform preventive maintenance on forkliftsComplete and maintain records on repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance and provide to management as neededMay provide training to Drivers on proper use of lift system to eliminate unnecessary repairs.

    When required, repair damaged containers to PODS standards and perform light carpentry work and repair in storage centersFlexibility to travel between storage centers in an assigned territoryMay perform other duties and responsibilities as assignedMANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIESTypically reports to Management.


    Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include:
    Market Manager, Territory ManagerThough this position is typically NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management), it may manage temporary staff during busy season


    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education & Experience RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalentPrior supervisory or team leader experience; warehouse experience preferredWelding experience preferredLight/Medium carpentry skills- 3 years repair experience (forklift, hydraulic lift systems, vehicle maintenance, small engine repair)Forklift Driver Certification (preferred)Possess a current valid driver's license with clean driving recordPossess math skills sufficient to perform required dutiesOr an equivalent combination of education, training or experiencePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to remain in a stationary position and move about frequentlyAbility to frequently position self to repair equipmentAbility to frequently move equipment and parts weighing up to 75 lbs with assistanceAbility to ascend/descend a ladder to repair equipmentAbility to communicate using a telephone handset and/or connected headset deviceWORKING CONDITIONSShift start times may vary; additional hours may be required including nights and weekends.


    Required to work overtime as neededTravel requirements:
    Within Location Territory.

    Travel outside specific territory may be necessary for training reasons and to assist other markets with repairs as neededRegularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity.

    Noise level may be loud at timesWarehouse locations may not be climate controlled except for specific areasRegular attendance and punctuality requiredSubject to pre-employment criminal background check and/or drug screening in accordance with company policy
