    Description

    Role: ABB Robot Programmer

    Location: Novi, MI.

    Basis: Contract

    Duration: 3-6 Months

    Rate: $50 - $52 per hour

    About the Company: Our client is a leader in the automation industry, specializing in integrating cutting-edge robotic solutions to enhance manufacturing processes.

    They are currently seeking an experienced ABB Robot Programmer to join their innovative team and contribute to the optimization and installation / startup of Robotic Systems.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop, program, and troubleshoot ABB robot applications to meet specific project requirements.
    • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design and implement robotic systems for various industrial applications.
    • Conduct on-site installation, start-up, and commissioning of ABB robots.
    • Perform system integration and ensure seamless operation with other automation equipment.
    • Optimize robot programs for efficiency, performance, and safety.
    • Provide training and support to customers and internal teams on ABB robotic systems.
    • Maintain documentation and records of robotic programs, configurations, and changes.
    • Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to robotic systems.

    Qualifications Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
    • 5+ years of experience in programming and troubleshooting ABB robots in an industrial setting.
    • Proficiency in ABB programming languages (RAPID) and software tools (RobotStudio).
    • Strong understanding of robotic systems integration, automation, and control systems.
    • Experience with PLC programming and integration is a plus.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
