What does this job involve?


Firstly, mechatronics technicians for refrigeration technology inform their customers about different refrigeration systems and determine the most economical and ecological solution for their specific needs.

After planning and assembling the components of the refrigeration and air conditioning systems, they assemble individual parts in the workshop.

This includes mechanical, electronic, and electrical components, control devices, insulation materials, and refrigerants.

At the customer's location, they install the systems, lay pipes, insulate them with thermal insulation materials, install electrical connections, and program control and regulation devices.


After installation, mechatronics technicians for refrigeration technology test the functionality and safety of the system, put it into operation, and instruct the customers on how to use it.

They also maintain and repair the systems.

If customers want to upgrade or optimize their refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, mechatronics technicians for refrigeration technology provide them with appropriate offers.

Their other tasks include providing customer service in case of malfunctions, dismantling outdated systems, and properly disposing of refrigerants.
