Tasks

  • Assisting with the mechanical configuration of satellites and payloads
  • Assisting with the development of mechanical designs for satellites and instrument structures
  • Assisting with the development and conception of GSE design (Ground support equipment)
  • Developing lightweight structures
  • Developing and documenting mechanical designs, taking into account requirements and limitations related to function, material, and manufacturing
  • Creating product definition drawings, bills of materials, and related documents

Qualifications

  • Degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
  • Previous experience in design and creation of manufacturing documentation
  • Knowledge of mechanical and thermal requirements and limitations specific to space
  • Knowledge of composite materials and structural design
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Catia V5
  • Knowledge of 3D-Experience is a plus
  • Language skills: Fluent in English and German
