Boys & Girls Club of Central Mississippi VISTAs
Our Boys & Girls Club AmeriCorps VISTA Intermediary Project will select, and place 3 VISTA Members to serve with our Capitol site and our Walker site located in Central Mississippi for a full year term of service.
Depending on individual placement with a host site, VISTA Members will build capacity to alleviate poverty by improving key processes and procedures to increase the overall organization's ability to serve more youth; and conduct research to utilize funding resources and tools to grow and diversify the organization's major gifts/fundraising/donor pipeline.
Update academic mentoring/tutoring orientation and training sessions; planning volunteer activities and conducting outreach activities to recruit volunteers for the Capitol and Walker sites.

Update the current resource development strategy and implement best practices by reviewing the current fundraising programs, policies, and procedures.
Develop an operational strategy that will address the needs of the host site which includes improved hiring and onboarding process, facilitation, program reporting, and federal and foundation grant reporting.
Collaborate with Unit Directors to select the most reliable volunteers based on their qualifications, talent, and skillset in alignment with the mission and goals of Boys & Girls Clubs.
Collaborate with Unit Director and Program Instructors to update and expand the current youth academic and enrichment programming needs.Program Benefits :
