About the role:

The Maintenance Manager oversees the upkeep and maintenance of our club's facilities and grounds.

This role is critical in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our property, contributing to the overall excellence of the club's offerings.


Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for all club facilities, including buildings, fitness, tennis courts, swimming pools, food outlet, and recreational areas.
  • Assess whether tasks can be completed inhouse or require outsourcing, and for all items to be done inhouse, personally complete the task or assign it to appropriate staff members.
  • Conduct regular inspections to assess the condition of facilities, identify maintenance needs, and prioritize repairs or improvements accordingly.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, external contractors, and vendors to schedule and complete maintenance projects in a timely and costeffective manner.
  • Oversee groundskeeping operations and/or vendors, including lawn care, landscaping, irrigation, and pest control.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices in all maintenance activities and operations.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs and safety protocols to mitigate risks and ensure a safe and secure environment for members, guests, and staff.
  • Manage the maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery, and systems used in club operations, such as HVAC systems, building electrical and plumbing, pool pumps and filters, fitness equipment, kitchen equipment, and others.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs and regular servicing schedules to minimize downtime, extend equipment lifespan, and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and expenditure plans, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
  • Monitor expenses, track spending trends, and prepare reports to support informed decisionmaking and budgetary accountability.
  • Supervise other maintenance staff, including overseeing their daily tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring their accountability for assigned duties.
  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • Proven experience in maintenance management, facilities operations, or property management.
  • Strong technical knowledge and handson experience in building maintenance, grounds keeping, and equipment repair.
  • Leadership and management skills.
  • Organizational, problemsolving, and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders, including club members, staff, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

  • The seasonal nature of our organization may cause changes in the expectations of your role depending on the needs and flexibility of each season.

Work Schedule Expectations:


  • Monday through Friday is the expected working schedule for this position, with flexibility based on task requirements. This position is responsible for coordinating, and executing, afterhours and weekend maintenance as needed, ensuring alignment with regular hours, and executing tasks accordingly.
  • Maintain an oncall availability to promptly respond to and address emergency maintenance situations as they arise, ensuring timely resolution and mínimal disruption to operations.
  • Provide support for event setup, execution, and breakdown, collaborating with event organizers and staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations throughout all stages of the event, including weekends and holidays when events may occur.

Pay:
$50, $60,000.00 per year
