Our client is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the process of designing, developing, and implementing automated systems and processes to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs.
The Automation Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to streamline operations.
This position requires the ability to travel internationally for training purposes.The ideal candidate will be open to immersing themselves in different cultures and working collaboratively with teams from around the world to gain a comprehensive understanding of our business and industry.
This training can last between 2-6 weeksResponsibilities
Assist with designing and implementing control systems and processes to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to streamline operations
Participate in the development and maintain control systems for automated equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automated systems and equipment
Participate in the development and implementation of new products and processes
Job Description
Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades to automated systems and equipment
Create and maintain documentation related to automation processes and systems
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in instrumentation and controls engineering
Experience in a Cement, Metal, Chemical or mining industry
Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC
Experience with OT/IT interface, OSI PI system and system virtualization
Experience with Server-Client architecture Industrial communication Profinet, Modbus, OPCUA , etc.
Working with OT/IT interface, OSI PI system
Experience with automation software and hardware systems, such as PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
