Description

We are currently seeking full-time SUPPORT staff consisting of vet technicians, vet assistants, and client services for our ever growing and expanding veterinary hospital located in Hatboro, Pennsylvania.

Our newest, state-of-the art 6,000 square foot facility will be opening on our current property in late May We are seeking individuals that display confidence in their technical and communication skills and are comfortable in an extremely busy environment.


Surgery and anesthesia monitoring a definite plus This is a non-stop, busy practice Our owner/doctor has been recognized as one of the top veterinarians in the area numerous times Prefer a licensed technician or a
minimum of 1-2 years in a busy practice.


Dependability, client focus, flexibility, and the ability to work independently or as a team member is necessary.

Certification or certification-eligible will be given strong preference.


As a member of our veterinary tech & assistant team you will assist, at a minimum, in the following procedures:
Physical examinations, admits/discharge of patients, dental procedures, surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring, and radiology.


During these procedures, employee will be expected to:

Effectively restrain patients for exams and procedures; Obtain and record patient case histories; Collect specimens and perform laboratory procedures; Provide specialized nursing care; Perform routine drug dosage calculations accurately; Prepare animals, instruments, and equipment for surgery; Assist in diagnostic, medical and surgical procedures; Expose digital and dental x-rays; Stock and maintain medicines and supplies.


Other duties will include phlebotomy, medical record upkeep/documentation, surgical pack upkeep (ultrasonic cleaning, autoclaving), medical treatment of outpatients, and assisting with euthanasia.

The ability to follow instructions, multitask efficiently, and communicate clearly with co-workers, clients, and supervisors is essential.


As a member of our veterinary client service team you will assist, at a minimum, in the following procedures:

Expectations:

The client service representative's main responsibility is to provide exceptional client service while maintaining a smooth and efficient flow of clients and patients through the animal hospital.

Specifically, the client service representative is responsible for greeting clients and patients, determining the needs of the clients and patients, and completing the check-in and check-out process.

The position requires a practical knowledge of the clinic's procedures and policies and to assist the Hospital Administrator, doctors and techs as needed.

Duties include but are not limited to representing the practice with professionalism, courtesy, and a positive attitude, greeting clients, patients and visitors; answering telephone, answering questions, promoting practice services and products, making appointments, transferring calls and taking messages; proficiently using computers.

Veterinary medical terminology a plus

Preparing patient records, preparing invoices; maintaining an organized and clean reception area; assisting clients with animals, children and packages.
