Summary:

Our client is a well-known company that specializes in producing polymer compounds. They are currently seeking to strengthen and expand their purchasing team at their offices in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Procuring necessary additives, fillers, and pigments in a timely manner.
Providing support to both national and international suppliers, including managing risks, negotiating prices, and awarding contracts.
Developing decision templates to optimize inventory and reduce costs.
Conducting market analysis and identifying needs.
Overseeing operational purchasing during the implementation of the supplier strategy.
Engaging in discussions with suppliers.
Maintaining master and price data.
Handling delivery disruptions and complaints.
Reporting, monitoring, and improving supplier performance in accordance with quality management specifications.

Skills & Knowledge:

A degree in business administration with a focus on procurement or relevant vocational training.
Previous experience in strategic purchasing, preferably in the chemical industry, is preferred.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in office software and merchandise management systems.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
