About the Job:


Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Foreman to join our team.

As an Assistant Foreman, you will work closely with the Foreman to ensure the smooth operation and productivity of our team.

Your role will involve supervising and coordinating the activities of employees, providing guidance and support, and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Foreman in overseeing daily operations, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating work activities.
  • Manage and assign tasks to team members, ensuring that they understand their responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Monitor work progress and provide feedback and guidance to employees.
  • Ensure that all work is completed according to project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Foreman and other team members to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records, including work logs, timesheets, and equipment maintenance reports.
  • Assist with training new hires and providing ongoing training and development opportunities for the team.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and high morale.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, such as a team lead, supervisor, or assistant foreman.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry practices, procedures, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings.
  • Proficient in using construction equipment, tools, and software.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in demanding and changing work conditions.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and ensuring a safe work environment for all team members.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
