The Chemical and Veterinary Examination Office Westphalia (CVUA-Westphalia) is a public institution with currently four locations in Bochum (headquarters), Hagen, Hamm, and Arnsberg.

The consolidation at a common location in Holzwickede is planned.

As an official testing facility in the field of consumer and animal health protection, we examine food, cleaning products, cosmetic products, animal feed, as well as samples related to animal health and disease control at the four locations with around 200 employees.

We are currently seeking to fill the following position at our Arnsberg location:


Head of Finance (m/f/d):

Pay grade 13 TVÖD, 39 hours per week, permanent


The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Professional and organizational management of the finance department
  • Responsibility for ongoing financial and asset accounting, contract management, and payment transactions
  • Preparation of the annual budget and creation of an auditable annual financial statement according to HGB regulations
  • Clarification of tax and financial management issues in consultation with a tax advisor or auditor
  • Independent preparation, processing, and review of business analyses, reports, statistics, and calculations
  • Responsibility for cost and performance accounting and its expansion
  • Financial planning for the new construction project in close coordination with banks, auditors, and other stakeholders
  • Participation in meetings of the administrative board, the remun
