QUALITY MANAGER

EXPECTATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of CMM programming using PCDMIS. VICCI programming a plus.

Knowledge of common aerospace inspection processes using geometric tolerancing, true positions, datums, complex blueprint reading, tight tolerances, dimensions etc.

Oversight of standard gaging, inspection devices, inspection equipment, inspection tools etc.

Lead and manage a team of detail oriented inspectors

Facilitate & maintain AS9100 Business Management System

Manage AS9100 Internal Audit Process and preparation for external audits.

Manage the quality metrics, cost of poor quality to achieve business goals and optimize return on investment.

Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.

Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance.

Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.

Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements.

Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis.

Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met.

Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives.

Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures.

Devise procedures to inspect and report quality issues.

Monitor all operations that affect quality.

Maintain strong communication with customers, internal management team and vendors to ensure quality level is meeting expectations.

Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output.

Appraise customers' requirements and make sure they are satisfied.

Report all malfunctions to production executives to ensure immediate action.

Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data.

Review current standards and policies.

Keep records of quality reports, statistical reviews and relevant documentation.

Communicate with external quality assurance officers during on-site inspections.

  • Understanding of quality management, control, and assurance in aerospace industry.
  • ISO 9001 and AS9100 REV. D knowledge.
  • Knowledge of military defense and government contracts a plus.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Proactive communication skills with the ability to get along with others in a teambased environment.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong bias for common sense and recognition.
  • A positive and strong selfstarter attitude.
  • A motivation to be challenged and thrive under pressure of deadlines.
  • Ability to be attention and detail oriented.
