- Partner with the Grains product line leadership team to ensure transportation and logistics strategies are aligned to product line strategies.
- Collaborate with demand planners and production teams to understand the Grains transportation requirements.
- Analyze historical data, market trends, and growth projections to determine transportation requirements.
- Integrate transportation requirements into the sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes.
- Partner with key stakeholders and senior leaders to develop initiatives, expand service capabilities and drive value.
- Problem solving and solution proposals to optimize transportation capacity and increase service measures.
- Develop and maintain a robust demand plan for transportation services.
- Provide transportation cost estimates for sales proposals.
- Explore new markets, partnerships, and service offerings.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or related field or minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation logistics, preferably in the agriculture industry
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in logistics software.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Continuous improvement mindset with proven experience and change leadership
- Experience operating in a matrix organization.
- Significant knowledge and experience in agricultural commodity trading, risk management, logistics and execution with a strong understanding of how this relates to truck, rail, barge and container transportation.
