    The successful candidate will have broad civil engineering, land development, and site-related construction knowledge. Design and construction experience in Utility Scale PV Solar Plants is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will have expertise in stormwater management approaches and methodologies, will understand land survey requirements, and have advanced mastery of AutoCAD Civil 3D for earthworks analysis.

    Responsibilities

    • Review and implement stormwater and erosion control requirements on projects from early design concepts through detailed design.
    • Perform earthworks analysis and value engineering on projects to guide the design and civil grading approach. Interpret geotechnical data and identify risks and issues related to construction.
    • Create technical exhibits to support various project-related efforts.
    • Review surveys, agreements, and land use approvals to ensure compliance.
    • Interface directly with civil engineering consultants to support permitting and construction efforts.
    • Assist in developing bid packages for EPC solicitation and participate in bid review.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable contractual obligations, AHJ requirements, and codes.
    • Review civil construction drawings for streamlined communication.
    • Provide recommendations to resolve risks and construction issues during the design process. Manage early civil design and material take-offs provided by third parties.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering or related degree with relevant work experience.
    • Professional Engineer license preferred.
    • 7+ Years of civil engineering experience required; 4+ years in renewable energy projects preferred.
    • Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Google Earth, KMZ file, and Microsoft Office tools. Excellent AutoCAD Civil 3D skills.
