Full Job Description:

Hotshot Arbor Care, a leader in utility vegetation management, is currently seeking a dedicated Contract Vegetation Program Manager to join our dynamic team.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of power sources with a focus in high fire threat districts through effective vegetation management.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote and maintain a safe work environment.
Manage daily vegetation management operations to support the Utility Vegetation Management (UVM) Programs across multiple regions including the Bay Region, Central Valley, North Coast, Central Coast, North Valley, and Sierra foothills.
Perform assessments, marking, and reporting on vegetation mitigation to increase clearance around critical utility infrastructure.
Develop and implement fuel reduction treatments following wildfire mitigation best practices.
Ensure proper vegetation management along access roads to maintain safe access to work sites.
Provide onsite support and supervision to contract crews, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Secure access agreements on private and public property and manage negotiations with landowners.
Handle permitting requirements with various stakeholders and agencies.
Maintain accurate reporting to clients and contractors and conduct quality assurance followups.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in forestry, urban forestry, environmental science, natural resources, or related field.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in GIS and data collection technologies.
ISA certification and Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) preferred.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum two years of experience in utility vegetation management or related field.
Clean driving record and proficiency in operating 4x4 vehicles.
