    Description

    Description:

    Are you into taking care of animals and making sure they're in tip-top shape? We have a job opportunity for an Animal Care Technician with a focus on Cage Washing Duties. Check out the responsibilities:

    • Operate mechanical cage washing equipment, autoclaves, and other sanitizing equipment.
    • Place processed bedding, feed, and other related items into assembled, sanitized cages.
    • Maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules, detergent and disinfectant use, cage washer, and autoclave performance tests.
    • Maintain adequate levels of cage wash chemicals.
    • Perform daily animal health observations and husbandry duties to maintain the quality and health of research animals.

    Skills:

    Experience in Sterilization, Animal monitoring, Cleaning, Animal handling, and Cage Washing is required. Additionally, here are some extra qualities that will make you stand out:

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:


    • Education & Exp: High school diploma or equivalent required. Six months of experience in research animal care and husbandry preferred.
