Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and manage production staff performance effectively.
  • Develop, analyze, and present reports related to forecasts, productivity, nonconformance, and safety.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as safety, quality, and HR to ensure successful production operations.
  • Manage daytoday production resources, allocation, and direction.
  • Control noncompliant product processes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate in the development of standard operating guidelines and manufacturing process flows.
  • Identify production constraints or waste and recommend improvements.
  • Exceed quality and delivery expectations while minimizing costs and waste.
  • Maintain and report accurate inventory numbers and ensure efficient management of WIP.
  • Manage and control raw material and finished product inventory.
  • Plan and monitor capacity maximization, equipment effectiveness, and lead time reduction opportunities.
  • Develop, monitor, and implement departmental budgets and production forecasts.
  • Maintain proper control of production documents, work orders, and company documents.
  • Develop internal processes, policies, and applicable standards as required.
  • Drive the company's vision and mission by reinforcing ethics, values, and policies within the production department.
  • Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of engagement, satisfaction, productivity, and quality.
  • Participate in employee selection, promotion, counseling, and termination processes in collaboration with Human Resources.
  • Set, communicate, and achieve department goals, monitoring performance metrics to ensure results.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through data analysis and continuous monitoring.

Requirements and Skills:


  • Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • 10 years or more in manufacturing management with increasing responsibility.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Resultsdriven approach and good businessoriented thinking.
  • Proven leadership abilities with the capability to motivate and guide teams to success.
  • Indepth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols within a manufacturing environment.
  • Detailoriented with a focus on achieving high levels of accuracy and precision in work tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:


  • Preferred certifications: Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, ISO.
  • Preferred Knowledge: Metalworking, drawing, resistance welding, quality audits, knowledge and management of industryrelated standards (ISO, AWS, ASTM 1064, ASCC, ACI).
  • Spanish
