Summary

The incumbent serves as a Program Specialist - Whole Health Business Manager. Whole Health was established from the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA). The Whole Health Business Manager, play a key role in helping the Chief achieve a balanced program and responsibilities involve decisions which have a direct and substantial effect on the health care organization. The position contributes to the establishment of policy and programs for WHP by providing and interpreting information.

Duties

Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:

Leading projects from initiation to completion and presenting the results to senior leadership throughout the Medical Center.

Compiling all the necessary documentation and information by organizing a project management team.

Working closely with the Service Chief and others in implementing and evaluating policies, plans, and internal operational systems.

Managing and coordinating all online communication tools such as internal SharePoint websites and other related informational tools, all done in consultation with communication specialists.

Coordinating events hosted by officials, with assistance from continuing educational staff and initiatives when warranted.

Working with various boards to coordinate regular committee meetings, ensuring all event management steps are completed.

Performing audits and special studies to evaluate program effectiveness.

Collecting and analyzing data from a variety of sources, measuring results, and reporting findings.

Performing the full range of personnel management and administration for an organization with varied functions and activities.

Acting as the liaison with the human resources office concerning personnel-related matters.

Provides orientation for new staff.

Processing new employees by requesting necessary equipment government issues laptop, cellphone, PIV card, and assure that all program access is complete.

Providing budget and financial management for WHP and all its programs.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Monday - Friday.
Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.
