    The Sr. Compliance and Risk Analyst position is responsible for contract review, insurance filings/claim management, and review of collateral and other materials prior to being presented to members.The Sr. Compliance and Risk Analyst evaluates and monitors the Credit Union's programs to ensure adherence with local, state, and federal laws and regulations applicable to the Credit Union, its members, and the financial industry including consumer protection and mortgage-related matters; stays abreast of pending developments and changes in these laws and regulations. This role involves exposure to sensitive and confidential information, necessitating considerable use of professionalism, tact, diplomacy, discretion, judgment, and confidentiality of information.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities

    1. Personally, provides exceptional member service; uses Service Standards in every work-related interaction.
    2. Actively participates in meeting the goals of the department and the Credit Union.
    3. Provides excellent service by using a positive and professional tone to assist callers and team members accurately, thoroughly, and as efficiently as possible while maintaining consistent and friendly service.
    4. Uses organizational tools and techniques to complete tasks on time and successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously, with the ability to give unexpected status in any of the areas of responsibility.
    5. Ensures that exceptional member service is being provided to members and team members by the department at all times.
    6. Ensures products, services, forms, procedures, and policies are updated to conform to new regulations, laws, and practices.
    7. Conducts reviews of collateral, disclosures, marketing materials, communications prior to publishing and monthly statements; makes recommendations for changes as appropriate to ensure the information is accurate and in keeping with the relevant laws and regulations to which the Credit Union must comply.
    8. Acts as a liaison between the Credit Union and various insurance carriers in filing claims, ensuring claims are reviewed and processed in a timely fashion, and provide supporting documentation and information required for claim processing.
    9. Facilitates the approval and onboarding of new vendors by working with the business units to gather all necessary documents based on criticality and notifying Accounts Payable of new approved vendors.
    10. Provides vendor management support through the performance of contract reviews and when necessary, coordinates the reviews of certain contracts by outside legal counsel.
    11. Maintains the Critical Vendor List ensuring all information is up to date, and including, as necessary, gathering and processing current due diligence documents for annual risk assessment analysis.
    12. Maintains the Executed Contracts List ensuring all information is up to date and fully executed contracts are obtained for all vendors.
    13. Reviews National Credit Union Association (NCUA) regulations pertinent to Arrowhead operations for procedure and policy changes to ensure Credit Union is in compliance with regulations.
    14. Researches and maintains knowledge of current market trends, financial products, competitor tactics, and all regulatory and compliance issues that may impact and keep the Credit Union safe/sound and competitive/productive.
    15. Researches, implements, and manages the areas of banking regulations and laws, Credit Union policies and procedures, consumer protections, and public interest laws on compliance issues and seeks regulatory interpretations when necessary.
    16. Monitors areas of potential compliance risk by recommending/implementing corrective actions needed to reduce, control, or mitigate such risk.
    17. Periodically reviews the Credit Union's website and mobile app, advertising, and documentation to ensure that the Credit Union and its policies and procedures are in compliance with all pertinent Federal and State regulations.
    18. Reviews monitoring reports for noted compliance violations as required.
    19. Reviews and tests for accuracy and compliance, at least annually, the HMDA Loan Application Registry prior to submittal.
    20. Performs monthly reviews of the credit card rates and disclosures for accuracy and compliance.
    21. On a quarterly basis, prepares credit card disclosure documents for upload to the CFPB website.
    22. Develops and maintains contacts with outside sources with expertise in compliance matters and may work with counsel as necessary to resolve compliance issues.
    23. Assists department leadership to ensure the Credit Union is well prepared for and positioned to receive good results on examinations and audits of compliance-related matters; prepares responses as necessary to examination and audit reports and findings.
    24. Performs a compliance review process, assisting Internal Audit as appropriate, to ensure compliance-related issues are addressed and that the Credit Union is in compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
    25. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of compliance and risk-related trends, best practices, and the regulatory and legal landscape through ongoing education and professional development.
    26. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
    27. Maintains a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC), and complies with all laws and regulations applicable to area of responsibility.
    28. Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary by Supervisor to achieve the goals of the department and the Credit Union.

    The pay range for this position is listed below.

    Starting pay for successful applicants is generally within the minimum to midpoint of the pay range. Our consideration for pay is designed to support career growth and development over time. Offers extended depend on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to individual experience, knowledge, training, education, geographic location, market demands, and internal equity.

    Pay range:

    Minimum: $6,702.22/month| Midpoint: $8,377.78/month | Maximum: $10,053.33/month
