What You'll Do


As a Facility / Maintenance Specialist in the cannabis industry, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the facility, including HVAC systems, cultivation areas, equipment, and infrastructure.

A strong knowledge of HVAC maintenance and repair is necessary for this role. This will be vital in maintaining a safe and productive environment within our cannabis business.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintain and repair HVAC equipment, including the electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
  • Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate systems to manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Place orders for equipment and materials as needed.
  • Oversight of irrigation system set up, maintenance, and repair.
  • Perform electrical work.
  • Troubleshoot environmental management systems.
  • Manage and maintain plumbing throughout the facility (copper, pex, pvc, cpvc, and galvanized).
  • Maintain landscaping and grounds.
  • Serve as a liaison between facilities team and cultivation/office department leads to ensure that facility is well maintained.
  • Work closely with onsite security to ensure the facility is safe and secure.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Keep records of maintenance performed.
  • Coordinate work with external contractors as needed.
  • Assist in the design of solutions to address repeat problems or optimization opportunities.
  • Continuously monitor equipment and systems. Report potential issues to Facilities Supervisor
  • Monitor and ensure that sanitation and disinfection procedures are implemented and followed including office and cultivation area, bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations governing facility maintenance and safety, especially those related to the cannabis industry.

Education & Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent. Professional certifications in HVAC are preferred.
  • Prior experience working in HVAC & facility maintenance required, preferably in a regulated environment like the cannabis industry.
  • Extensive knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building structures.
  • Knowledge of basic repair techniques and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
  • Good communication skills and the ability to lead a team.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and regulations, particularly those specific to the cannabis industry.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Physical Requirements:


  • Must be able to push, pull, or lift at least 50 pounds if relevant to job duties listed above.
  • Must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking throughout the workday.
  • Work in a controlled environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, masks, and lab coats as required.
  • Maintain physical stamina for the duration of the work shift.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.

Exposure to fertilizer, dusts, odors, high heat, low temperature, high and low humidity, high noise levels, vibrations, water, dry salts, allergens, pollen, dust, plant pathogens, other volatile organic compounds, and other environmental variables.

Pay:
$55, $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Weekends as needed
