Nature & Purpose of Position

  • The Video and Design position works closely with the Lowman Student Center Associate Director, assisting with the creation of marketing materials for the Lowman Student Center.
  • Requires the ability to create video content from concept to implementation and follow the SHSU Marketing Brand Guide.

Student should be able to:
film and edit for website, create scripts, conduct interviews, create engaging pieces for social media.

  • Provide assistance as a team player with various Lowman Student Center services, programs, and initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Lowman Student Center staff to define project focus to meet project deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
    Other Requirements for the Position
  • Videography skills
  • Photography skills
  • Must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Must be able to work year round
  • Computer design skills (Adobe Products preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work well with others as well as independently
  • Ability to multitask several projects
  • Able to meet the demands of a varied schedule, including LSC staff meetings and trainings
